Repeater sering disebut juga sebagai Penguat Sinyal adalah Alat yang berfungsi untuk memperkuat sinyal di dalam jaringan komputer, dengan cara menerima sinyal dari satu segmen kabel pada jaringan (LAN,MAN,WAN) yang kemudian dipancarkan kembali dengan mempertahankan kekuatan sinyal asli yang pertama diterima segmen kabel tsb. bisa juga mengembalikan kekuatan sinyal asli seperti dari pusatnya.

Fungsi Repeater

  1. Memperluas sinyal dari server.
  2. Mengover daerah-daerah yang lemah sinyal dari server (Pemancar).
  3. Mempermudah akses sinyal WIFI dari server.
  4. Meneruskan dan memperkuat sinyal.
  5. Mempermudah pengiriman data ataupun informasi 
  6. Tidak perlu membangun jaringan kabel yang sangat panjang

jadi temen temen yang mau buat jaringan dikantor atau dirumahnya alangkah baiknya menggunakan repeater ini, selain berguna untuk memperkuat sinyal juga dapat membantu kinerja jaringan komputer apalagi dalam sebuah prusahaah repeater ini sangat penting sekali dalam transfer data maupun informasi.
